And by good I mean not eating a pound of candy in one sitting. Something that will help you add weight when you've been unwell or ways to bulk up other meals. Thanks!

macaroni and cheese!!  homemade I think is more fattening than the boxed kinds.  I have a yummy recipe.
ummm ... chili?  meat based soups??  I have a yummy crock pot chicken enchilada recipe as well, a little spicy maybe :(
when my friend's dad was ill, the doc told him he needed to focus on getting some fat on him and not worry too much about the nutrients until he was healthier ... he recommended milk shakes (made with ensure), ice cream, puddings, cheesecake, and mousse type desserts.  anything soft and easy to eat.

His dr said the other day to eat high calorie, high protein - he suggested Snickers LOL. He got Ensure the other day but doesn't like it so we'll try it as a milk shake. Thanks for the suggestions. I also got the Carnation Breakfast Essentials to try since they had about the same calories as Ensure (250 in a bottle) and may taste better with being touted as a breakfast food, not a supplement.
