I know one of the most exciting things I realized when I became a parent is that I'd get to share things with my dd that I had when I was younger, like decorating the Christmas tree, The Cat in the Hat, Gullah Gullah Island, tether ball, etc. She's only two but I already have the next ten years planned out.  What childhood memories, traditions and past times do you share or want to share with your kids?

We had a great thread before on the subject of traditions, Sandy. Tether ball, ha! I haven't thought on that in years. Loved that, apart from the bruises. I reckon we should make our kids play it as a punishment.

I came across a site with old Scottish songs on it and that took me back. I was showing my son ones his grandpa used to sing to us as kids. I completely forgot about one that had the words "ally bally" in it and being jealous because my sister was Alison and I thought Dad had made it up especially for her LOL.
