I have eczema on my right foot and I guess it’s now infected the back of my right knee. I’m not sure how it got there. I’m only using a moisturizer for it and would like to know if you are doing any alternative way of treating your eczema. Anything that will help. Thanks for your replies.

eczema can spread without any contact or reason, with my daughter it started out in creases - back of the knees, inside the elbow, fold on the neck.
the best way I have found to treat it is with aveeno products ... oils, moisturizer, soap. there have been times one of my children has broken out while on vacation and away from the home remedies. then I make sure to keep it covered with vaseline or another petroleum type product. this way it is constantly protected from the dry winds or cold, it is moist, and if my little ones scratch at it, they are pretty much getting a handful of vaseline and not infecting the rash with their dirty nails. it is also good to keep the area covered with clothing if possible. when my youngest gets the rash on the insides of her arms, she goes to school in long sleeves. it tends to speed up healing time.

Try asking your dermatologist about elidel. That’s if you haven’t tried that yet. In my case, it helped get the itch off as well as getting rid of the eczema itself on my left foot. This is pretty much available on any pharmacy so it’s easy to get once you’re prescribed to it. Go ask your doctor about it. Hope this helps.
