Oooo, I loved mac and cheese too. I don't remember ever getting kraft as a kid. It was always homemade. I don't like kraft at all yet my son loves that and isn't keen on homemade. Go figure.

my kids like the homemade with honey ham in it.  they know after I bake a large ham that mac and cheese will follow soon :)
the kraft kind is okay, tho lately it tastes funny to me.  I don't know if they changed the recipe or if I'm just sick of it - lol

MMM, mac and cheese.  We always had Kraft though, my Mom never had time to cook real mac and cheese.  I make it though, and with ham, MMMMM.  Great, now I'm starving!

I tried that before but I don't think I used the right kind of apples for it because it wasn't that great. Does it matter much? I used Granny Smiths and hardly had any by the time it all reduced down. How much do you use for a decent pan full?

LOTS!  I used the red ones and some sugar, water, and cinnamon.  I would say about 6-8 good sized apples would give you a good amount!

Maybe that's where I went wrong, using Granny Smiths. I'll get the red ones and try again then. About a three pound bag should be enough then?
