You asked for it and the advice you got was terrible. You know in your own mind it's terrible but you don't want to hurt the person's feelings. How do you deal with that?

I was taught that no advice is all bad. you take what you can from it at the time and put the rest aside for when you may actually need it. of course, I don't totally agree with some advice not being absolutely WRONG, but I do try to take what I can from it at the time.

I'm not very good at saying "your advice is garbage" in a pleasant way. Maybe that's why I don't ask for it much LOL. I tend to just stare at them blankly while my mind is screaming "nooooooo, don't say anything!!!"

It's true! I've been told since I was about five I should learn to keep my tongue between my teeth. Didn't work though obviously. It's been wagging ever since.

I tend to be the opposite - at most times. I keep my mouth shut and then wish I had come back with something - lol. I'm getting better at it tho
