The clocks are changing this weekend. I hate it when it does! Any ideas to stay "up" over the dark months?

Ugh, that's a tough one.  It was so depressing last night.  Totally dark and cold at 5pm.  Blecht.

In past years I used a tanning salon, but I'm not sure that's the best advice, just an idea.  I think they sell lights now too that offer vitamins or a more natural glow.  I also have the DVD's that play with the beach themes and relaxing music...that helps a little.

I don't like it getting dark so early either. It's been so cold too I've been hopping back into bed after seeing hubby off to work for a few hours nearly every morning because I can't face that. The tanning salon makes sense. That would work along the same lines as those lightboxes you can get if you suffer from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) I guess.

Well, get thee to the salon then. It's worth doing if you know that it works for you. I know that I feel terrible if I don't get outside and get some real daylight even for a little while every day at this time of year.

yeah, blustry reminds me of winnie the pooh and he was never happy when he used the word blustry

I don't do cold, but cold with wind gives me a headache and sore muscles ... just the thought causes me to tense up. good luck tomorrow

I hate it when it's blustry and the wind cuts you in two. Even the dogs are smarter than me when it's bad like that.

I open the door when it's howling with wind and they look at me with this " you're joking, right? Go out in THAT?!" look on their faces.  We're not far off 12 ourselves, it was at 16 here.

Why are you going to NYC? *puts nosey hat on*

Sorry I missed your post!  It was just a bus trip from work...to just walk around etc.  It was alot of fun, but really cold!  At least the sun is staying up a bit longer now...it's just getting dark when I get home.  Bring on the summer!

I'm with you on that. As long as I get a nice Spring planting time, I'll be happy.

Me too!  Supposed to be in the 50's here tomorrow, pouring rain but warm indeed! Very weird temps here in New England this year, we haven't even had much snow....

The sun has been shining here and plants blooming!!!  It's been nice and so far my allergies have been at bay, which is weird because with everything blooming I should be sneezing away, but nothing!

Does anyone else have allergy issues?
