“How much real time are you willing to put into saving a relationship?”

I had asked this question at a college where I was a guest speaker on a forum discussing couples and relationships.

true, but some aren't worth saving.  Sometimes things must die.  This is how we learn, grow and let go.  Some things, all things, aren't forever. Not to be morbid, but sometimes it's best to lose a limb and save the tree.  Ya know?

If the relationship is healthy and worth saving...I say work on it at all costs!  This applies to all relationships, not just physical but professional etc.  Work relationships can be the easiest to hang on to when they should be let go of as well....or worked on, depending on the situation.  Either way they shouldn't be overlooked.

Jackee, you've made two posts and have spammed this board with your link to that book in both of them. Please stop. It does nothing to endear us to you. If you want people to check it out, join in instead. It's already in your sig.

If a relationship gets to the point where you and the other person seem to just argue more than get along it might just be time to let go! The fear of starting over again is understandable and may take time but the outcome of being apart might bring the two of you back in the long run!

The other person has to be willing. If they refuse to change or to admit there is a problem, then you have got yourself a problem.Amos 3:3

What do you do when both people see the other person's point of view? It's an unfixable situation.

True. If it's one sided, there's zero hope. Been there, done that and will never do it again. It's exhausting if you're the only one interested in resolving the problem. That's when it's time to walk away from the relationship and move on.

Hmmm, it's two sided and we both want to fix it so I guess it's worth trying?

Always. If you're both committed to sorting it out, you'll find a way. [:)]

How about when there's kids involved, should we just go are own ways & end it like a regular couple would.. Or should I fight hard to find & achieve peace and happiness in our relationship?.Truthfully we've been staying @ my dads house for a while and that enviroment stopped us from having an open relationship...is it still worth saving due to fact that the relationship wasn't given a fair chance??
