i would love to create my own template for my website kinda bored with the ones on site how do i do that?

In the member area, go to the website layout and change the website options. Then, go to the themes section and select to save the current settings as a template.

I uploaded a pic to use as my background but it comes out in tiles
I would like it to be 1 large pick. How can I fix this?

Have you tied to resize the picture so that its about 1000 to 1200 pixels wide with a graphic editor program? Then upload it to FamilyLobby.
