I have a hankering for some and usually just fry it with garlic, butter and onions but I'd like to try some on the BBQ. Any good marinade or hints on how best to cook it? I'm guilty of overdoing shrimp until it's rubbery. [:-]

Sorry I missed this post.  I like them on the grill so I usually put on Tony Cachere's spice and then kabob them with pineapple...although I too manke them rubbery some[:@]times....blecht.

So what is Tony Cachere's spice and where do I get it? Is it like a dry rub or liquid or what? Thanks. [:D]

It's dry and is found in the grocery store with the spices.  I think they may have a website too if you can't find it.  I LOVE it.  I use it on everything.  It plumps things up too, like porkchops are juicier and hamburgers too.  It is a little spicey but very tasty!  I think it's a green and red bottle.....

Thanks, Christine. I'll look for it. I recently tried soul food seasoning and I'm like that with it now! It goes on everything I'm doing in the oven like roasts and pork chops. Doesn't plump them though and we like hot so that would be good.

I like using oyster sauce you get at an oriental grocery.  The thick kind of marinade for teriyaki is about the same way. I will then generally cook the shrimp like scampi..hot sauce, wine, garlic, and butter, for just a minute or two, then let it sit in the saute' for awhile to soak up that recipe.  throw it on the grill till it is pink through, then put it back in the saute' skillet and sit untill the rest of the meal is ready. ( the saute sauce is off..not still cooking)
