fiery -> beef roast in the crockpot (5/13/2009 4:43:22 PM)

Yesterday I did the simplest thing. Cut a beef roast in two halves so it would fit in the crockpot and added about an inch of water and a stock cube to it. It was on for about ten hours and I didn't touch it. The meat made its own juices. Come serving time, I fried up some mushrooms and onions, made a brown gravy with the juices, sliced the beef in thin strips and served it with fries like an open sandwich. [:D]
