I think boys are more of a worry since girls are generally in my experience closer to their moms and communicative by nature. Boys are more closed in that respect and don't say a whole lot. What do you think?

well, I have friends with boys and girls and they all tell me boys are easier.  our son didn't live with us full time (He lived with his bio mom), so I can't really speak from experience.

Personally though, having worked with children for a great deal of my life (my own children and others), I think every child has their issues - boy or girl.  I have 3 girls and they are all very different in temperment, attitude, and emotions.

Yep, you're right there. And thank goodness they're all individuals. When I think about it I'm nothing like either of my sisters at all. :)

and my girls are nothing like each other - except they are all pretty good at arguing ... but that they get from me ;)

Ha! Better to give voice to it than fume silently, I say. I was never one to be satisfied with a simple answer either. ;)

I am a mother of 3 boys but my sister's both have girls and from what I've experienced with them, I'd say I've got it much easier!  LOL  I also come from a family of 3 girls and there was far more fighting going on with me and my sisters than there ever was with my 3 boys.  Boys tend to duke it out and they're over it almost as fast as it started.  Girls will hold grudges forever! [sm=icon_huh.gif]  My sisters and I still fight and we're in our 40's!  LOL

that is exactly what I say about guys ... they get mad, they fight, and then they go about their business ... girls can be devious little things - lol.  Though, I do have to add that I am seeing the teenage boys get just as involved with the drama as the girls these days.  They enjoy pitting two girls against eachother and watching the scene unfold ... tsk tsk

I'm one of 3 girls too Thelma and then a boy much younger than the rest of us. I don't fight with my sisters anymore but only because we're all in different countries LOL.

Funny diane you should say that about girls being devious. It reminds me of office politics. I'd much rather work with a roomful of men than women. When men have something to say, they say it straight and to your face. I'm very like that myself so that suits me fine. Women are far more passive-aggressive and underhanded in my experience. And yet we're supposed to be the fairer gentler sex, hmmm....

Girls are definitely devious creatures Diane!  I do agree with you on the fact that it seems some boys join the drama as well even if it is just to create a cat fight.[X(]

I've been blessed with 3 mellow boys who let everything roll off their shoulders and for that I'm so greatful!  It could have a little to do with the way they were raised however.  LOL  I'm forever joking around and teasing them.  My sister does the same with them.  You have to know how to laugh at yourself and life or you'll never be happy.[:o]

Amen to that, Thelma. You can't take yourself too seriously. Every time you start to think you're somebody, Fate steps in and kicks your butt. Gotta love that. Especially if it's someone else LOL. [:o]
