Celexa wasn't even just ineffective, but could make things worse according to the study.

Why did doctors prescribe it anyway when it wasn't an FDA approved treatment for autism?? There's a reason the FDA makes drug manufacturers go through all kinds of clinical trials to prove efficacy in different conditions. Do doctors think they know better than the FDA? I think egos got in the way here. Rather than admitting they were at a loss what to do, they prescribed their best guess.
Ridiculous. But then it's highly unlikely to be their own kids they're putting at risk, is it...
