I also have RA and I take ultram when I know that pain is on its way.  My joints rerally hurt like hell when it happens and that’s what I want to avoid.  In my case, I only take 2 to 3 a week except during severe attacks where I take a max of 2 a day.  Are there any other pain relieving methods that you practice?  Any suggestion will be much appreciated.  Thanks!

I don't know much about RA specifically, but I do live with chronic pain.  Have you tried acupuncture?  In combination with massage therapy and meditation or even hypnosis you may find some relief.

Hope this helps..

See if you have a herbalist nearby that can advise you on the alternatives. Look in your local Yellow Pages. And welcome to Family Lobby! :)
