I hink its the root of mine as well.  I would do anything for him, and that includes protecting him from his own mother.  It's all just so sad.  She told her father, my boyfriend, that she feels like I'm picking on her.

Give me a break!  Excuses is all I hear, never any action, just reasons why she can't do anything.  It's sickening!

Hearing the truth hurts, that's her problem. You would think she'd stop and think through what you're saying instead of jumping into defensive mode...until she does that you'll be fighting a losing battle I fear. Instead of whining she could do something to show that she can do better.

Yes, I agree.  I decided that whats best for me is to pull back.  I would not and do not tolerate this behavior from my own friends or family and she is no different.  I have nothing to say to her except that she needs to put up or shut up.

I will only look at actions going forward, not excuses, pity parties or poor me blues.  I am done.  She needs to grow up and take some responsibility for the upbringing of HER son.

You go girl. :) At least she can't say she didn't know how you felt. The ball's in her court now.
