Has anyone ever had this done?  I had both an endoscopy and colonoscopy on Weds. Yuck.  I heard they were easy but mine did not go well.  I didn't get the results I wanted either...BOOO  [;)]

Oh dear sorry to hear that. I've never had either done and would like it to stay that way. So what did they say if I can ask?

Of course...we're like family here!  I have two different issues I guess.  The chest pains are caused by a hiatal hernia which mostly feels like I'm having a heart attach 24/7 and my stomach, well that's a whole other issue that they don't know the answer to.

They took biopsies from just about everywhere so it's wait and see...again.[;)]

oh no, I hope it all comes back positive ... or good news is more along the lines I am trying to make - lol.
what will they do about the hernia?

Unfortunately they can't do anything about the hernia.  They are trying to control my stomach acid with Prilosec but it hasn't been helping.  The most scary thing right now is if I were to actually have a heart attack I would think it was the hernia.

I have more tests, like xrays kind of, on Wednesday.  I feel more and more like a lab rat than anything else.  I just hope they find something..anything...

More results are in!  Yay!  On top of my hernia I have reflux disease and a corroded esophagus.  Kind of gross but they think Prilosec will control it.  Does anyone have that?  I've heard that the change in weather can add to it?

Nope, I don't have that but I'm glad to hear you're finally getting to the bottom of it all. Can't help you on the weather thing, sorry. I know my mum had a hernia years ago but I'm not sure if it's the same kind. I'll ask her.

The meds seem to be working but my stress increased monumentally over the weekend so I don't know now.....[;)]

We had John's ex wife babysitting every other weekend, remember?  Well she bailed, she's too busy working I guess...and I had a HUGE fight with Johns daughter over the time she spends with her son, which is none.  It has been weeks again, and months before that.  Frankly she saw him more when she was in jail.  It is sickening to me that a mother can act this way.  Killing me on many levels I think...

Ah I see...that's rough, sorry to hear that but it's been on the cards for a very long time has it not? I'm surprised you kept your temper this long.

you and me both.  Her argument, and get this, was that she's doing a GREAT job! Great?  Godd? Moderate? nada.  She's awful.  Bad mother, bad daughter, bad aquaintance.

I held it in for 2 years because I knew she would use that to stop seeing her son at all, and bingo!  Although she is planning a birthday party for him in 2 weeks...sickening.

Seriously, it's amazing how blind that girl is to her behavior and how much you and John have the responsibility that should be on her shoulders. Not that you don't love the wee guy, but really...she needs to sort herself out once and for all. Has she at least cleaned up?

She has but she has about 20 yrs hanging over her head so that seems to be her motivation.  John has pretty much stopped speaking to her, which is sad, but she is a negative, life draining constant force on our relationship.

Well, he is speaking to her again, which is ok...but she still hasn't seen her son but her big birthday for him is next weekend.  It is sickening to me.  I told him it sends the wrong message that she is being allowed to throw a party for someone she never sees...and the fact the she steps in only on Mother's day, birthdays etc is truly, in every way, sickening to me.  She is no mother and the little beauty better steer way clear of me over the next few months because the words "you are NO mother" are on the tip of my tongue!

Working on the anger thing but as you can see it isn't working....

I hear ya. My son's absent dad thought the same, that showing up or sending cards on the important days like birthdays or Christmas was what mattered. Never mind the other 360 odd days when he'd contribute nothing either emotionally or financially. In hindsight, that's fine by me now even though it was a struggle because it kept him away from us. The "all hail the conquering hero's return" stuff made me mad though because it never lasted. Nothing crushes you more than when a kid is old enough to understand that their parent doesn't care.

Yes, he just turned four and already he's starting to question where she is.  His birthday was yesterday and she didn't come to the party and opted to have her own next weekend, which is confusing for him. (and me)

I am working hard on letting go of my anger for her.  She isn't even able to care for herself so I can't expect anything from her.  She still stinks though, don't get me wrong, but it is better that she do little as opposed to her doing alot and trying to get him back I guess.

Geesh, no wonder he's confused. That's her trying to prove what a great mom she is, I bet. Letting go of the anger is so so hard. Just this morning I got an email for the aforementioned conquering hero looking for my son's email. It's only been oh...five years since he last bothered to get in touch. I could feel my temper rising but am doing my best to see past that and hope he's got to a point where he can behave like a grown up and is keeping himself together. I just don't want to see the lad hurt all over again. That's where the anger comes from for me.

I hink its the root of mine as well.  I would do anything for him, and that includes protecting him from his own mother.  It's all just so sad.  She told her father, my boyfriend, that she feels like I'm picking on her.

Give me a break!  Excuses is all I hear, never any action, just reasons why she can't do anything.  It's sickening!
