These are so cute and unusual you'd be hard pushed to choose one. My warped sense of humor opts for the whoopie cushion or Elvis with the air freshner a close third.

Awwwwww those are adorable!  I like the skunk costume myself.  he he he

I need ideas for a 13 year old boy!!! [:-]  We like to make the costume and we try to be original.  This year I need something that won't hurt the pocket book because hubby has a broken foot and has been off work for a while.[;)]  Any ideas????

Did you see my mad scientist idea? All you need is a white lab type coat, a biggish glass jar with a lid on it (or clear plastic jar) and put a peeled head of baby cauliflower in it or half a bigger one and top up with water. It looks like a brain if you use your imagination. Stick a "brain" label on the jar, make his hair wild and spiky or get a wig, and add big glasses and dark streaks on his face so it looks like he's blown something up. Add extras you can think of - you get the general idea.

Sorry to hear about hubby, Thelma. How's he doing? Are you guys managing okay?

No....I missed your mad scientist costume idea Fiery.  That sounds great though!  Got a picture?

I've had a list of about 50 different ideas and my son has shot down each and every one of them. [&:]  This one sounds really cool though....I think he'll like it simply because of the "brain in the jar".  ROTFLMAO!!!!

I'm going to check out the links you posted as well.  Thanks so much for the help!!!  I've been pulling my hair out doing google searches!!!! [sm=icon_angry.gif]

Hubby is doing better thanks.  Today he can ditch the crutches and start using the boot only.  By the end of the month he should be able to lose the boot and go back to work pending the doctor's okay.

Things have been very tight since he can only collect 60% of his normal pay but we are scraping by.  Thank goodness my older boys hunt so we've been eating lots of wild game!  LOL

Glad to be of help. Yeah I thought the brain part might appeal LOL. No pics, in fact I can't even remember where I heard about it but it was years ago and it lodged in my brain under "gonna do that one day". [:D] I'll see if I can find one online.

And good to hear hubby's on the mend Thelma! Sorry I was so focused on the costumes I thought I'd said that and just noticed I didn't. *blush*.

It's great the boys can provide like that! I'm impressed. I wouldn't have a clue what to do with something that wasn't wrapped in a plastic tray and covered in cling film. [:D] Except fish, I know how to gut a fish and descale it etc.

Well......I tried and tried to get my son to be a mad scientist but he decided to be a zombie.[X(]  It actually turned out kind of cool.  He had a machete going through his back and come out the front.  I ripped up an old sport coat and pants and made blood with fabric paint.  I jelled his hair so it was all crazy and did the usual zombie face paint.  I also used the fabric paint to put blood on the knife.  It actually looked really cool.  He wore the face paint to school but then wouldn't wear it on Halloween.  UGH!  My sister has pictures......when I get them from her I'll share.

Thanks for all your ideas and help!  Maybe next year he'll do the mad scientist.[:D]
