hi everyone.   i need advice on something. i hope you could help me.

my mom's friend has a 4-year-old son who wants to have a dog as a pet. they are renting an apartment and the owner does not allow pets.
my mom feels bad for the little boy and wants to do something to cheer him up. my mom saw this dvd of cute puppies and kittens playing and she thought that maybe she could buy one for the boy. do you think it's a good idea?

here's a clip from the dvd for you to see if my mom's idea is ok

your opinions would be very much appreciated. thank you

Bad idea.  I think all that would do is make the kiddie want one more that there's no way he can have. I don't think it's a good idea at all. It's like promising a kid a bike and giving them a picture out of a magazine of one. Take him visit someone that has a pet instead for a while that wouldn't mind the odd visit.

You're probably just spamming us though to get us to increase traffic for that video so I won't be watching. That's my honest opinion.

thank you for your suggestion. i'll tell that to my mom.

another question though, if my mom's friend chooses to bring her son to someone who has a dog, should she bring her son regularly to visit the dog? so the boy can feel that even though the dog is not his, it could still be his friend

i'm sorry if you feel like i was spamming, i have no such intentions. i just shared the link just in case you (or anyone who answers) would like to see or have a glimpse of what dvd i was talking about. i just wanted to clear this but thank you for being honest.

If it's okay with the friend they visit and the boy's mom, I don't see why not. As long as it was okay all round until he tires of it. Maybe they could take it for a walk or something a few times a month.

Honestly I didn't expect you to come back clover, most drop a link and never return so I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. Sorry if I misjudged your post.
