I got an email from a writer that was telling me about a man that speaks 17 languages. It made me think about how rare that is and wonder how many here have even a smattering of a second language. Can you speak or follow even slightly a conversation in another language?

I took seven years of French and I think all I can say is "where's the bathroom"  I can say that in Spanish too though, least there's that!  Lol

Of all the phrases I would like to know in many languages, that's got to be # 1 LOL. Now I won't sleep because I took French and can't remember how to say that!

Ahh, merci beaucoup! I can't believe I forgot that LOL. You know all I could remember was "open the window"...maybe that was for later.

I think it has one of those accents over the etre part on the last e. Geesh, my memory's failing badly. I can't remember what it's called...is it an acute?
