[color=#6600FF]anyone who is interested, feel free to join in! post as few details or as many as you feel comfortable with, it's all about doing this with the support of others.

Today I will just pretend I am starting out because I am so not happy with the progress of my actual start on Monday - lol.
My current weight is 156
my goal weight is 140
I have an overall goal of getting down to 130 (set up by my doctor and I), but I haven't been able to get below 140 in the last 8 years. maybe this year is the one!?!

good luck to everyone!

I'm saying right now : because of stuffing my face for my birthday meal today like a condemned man knowing it was my last I expect to lose zero between now and Friday's weigh in. Don't hate me LOL.

So, launch of diet commences!!!
Start Weight: 177.
Goal Weight: 130.

Phew, that sounds a long way off! Every journey begins with a single step though. :) I'd like to be there by July 4. Independence Day has a nice ring to it as a target date.

I'm going to add in a mood section too for mine and see if I can spot how my eating habits make me feel and/or of they have any effect on me.

Mood: Optimistic about weight loss success. Heck, I never though I could stop smoking and I did! Physically, I feel sluggish because I ate so much.

Goal Weight: 130.

Mood: Delighted! I really am feeling better and I'm sure it's all the fruit I'm eating.

good for you, Kay! that is awesome!!

I, on the other hand, suffered from a new diet headache ALL WEEK LONG. and I gave into it by eating anything and everything.

my current stats (as of friday)
starting weight 156
current weight 157 :(
gain 1 pound
goal weight 140

so I gained a pound. I did, however, find a new 12 day program (on kindle for FREE) that I am going to start this week. it is a major food overhaul for me (that scares me) and a total workout program (that doesn't scare me as much - lol). I have to buy some resistance bands today so that I can get rolling, but we shall see how it works :)

Awesome!  Don't worry about the one pound.  As we lose fat our bodies shift around.  You may gain more before you begin to burn fat!

Great job!!

I'm resisting the resistance bands LOL. I want to lose it with as little exercise as I can because I hate doing it. How did you find the bands, are they good?

Today I'm at 172.

Start Weight (Jan 10) : 177.
Today's Weight: 172

Loss/Gain this week:  - 2

Overall Gain/Loss :   - 5

Goal Weight: 130.

Mood: Okay with that because I expected only a pound at most after dropping 3 last week and not being very good about what I was eating today.

awesome work, Kay!!
I am still at a stand still on the weight loss - no loss BUT no gain either :)
I have been achy and sore all week so I haven't even started the workout in my book. OR the eating plan for that matter!
this morning I am feeling better tho, so hopefully I can make some progress this week.
... I am feeling really old :(

Steady as you go. :) I don't expect to lose this week since I have the last two, but we'll see. With the flu doing the rounds again you might have that. I've not ate much with being not that grand myself. Hubby was terribly sick earlier in the week with fever etc.

well ... if this ain't the diet kicker, I don't know what is.

I stepped on the scale this morning and it said "OFF"
WTHeck??
I stepped off it it read "Lo Batt"
ugh!
so I have no idea what I weigh this week because it requires a special button battery, and then I porked out on pizza tonight.

hope you're results were better than mine, Kay -lol

Heck, I clean forgot about this last week so I don't know!  Yell at me please if I do that. I just weighed myself there and I'm at 173. Up a pound.

Start Weight (Jan 10) : 177.
Today's Weight: 173

Loss/Gain this week:   + 1

Overall Gain/Loss :   - 4

Goal Weight: 130.

Mood: Not surprised. I couldn't shop with the weather being so bad because we couldn't get the car out, so I was eating what was in the cupboards. I knew it wouldn't be good this week. Bummer. But I got stocked up again on fruit so will be back on track next week hopefully.

Better luck next time to all of us!

An update. Hubby brought me home new scales yesterday because I was lamenting that these old ones (circa 1960's) must be wrong. Really I was just grasping at straws LOL.

Well blow me down if I didn't step on them and they read 171. Woo hoo! I know I didn't lose two pounds in two days, so am fessing up now rather than claiming it next Friday as a loss. Where's my halo?

HA!!  that is too funny, Kay.

I went out and bought new batteries for my scale and have yet to put them in.  I am afraid it will be even HIGHER!

Nooooo, if the batteries are low it's more likely to have been giving a wrong reading. Be brave and change them.

man, my schedule has been so out of whack these last few weeks.  I thought for sure I posted results since my battery issue, but I don't see them

Start Weight: 156
Today's Weight: 156.3

since I am not seeing where I thought I post lasted week, I was up to 159 so this week I lost almost 3 pounds, but it's an over all gain of .3.  regardless, I am feeling good because the motivation is back.

Goal Weight: 140

Today's Weight: 171

Loss/Gain this week:   -1

Overall Gain/Loss :   - 6

Goal Weight: 130.

Mood: Okay I guess. Maybe another week of sickness will help LOL. :)
