I dont want to be in public schools anymore. I want to be home school. But I have queastions. Does your parent have to teach you or can a adult with a high school diploma teach you with your parents permison? And how do I tell my mom with her understanding in why i dont want to be in public schools anymore and why its a good idea in be wanting to be homeschooled.

Welcome to Family Lobby, Raychel. :) State requirements vary so it will depend upon where you live. There are many laws that have to be fulfilled. Have a look at the guide for your state to see if you can find the answer to that. What state are you in? http://homeschooling.about.com/od/legal/Staying_Legal_Homeschool_Laws_and_Requirements.htm Also, why do you want to leave public school? You'll need to come up with the answers yourself on why it's a good idea if you want to convince your mom. That way, you show you've done your research into what's involved in homeschooling and you're serious about it. Do you think your mom would approve of it and whoever you have in mind with the high school diploma teaching you?

Not every mom can afford to or wants to homeschool their child. If you're having problems at school talk to your mom about them and/or your teacher and get them resolved.

Homeschooling is amazing! I have been home schooled for all my life, and I just graduated this year. Home schooling was one of the many best things that my parents have ever done for me. There aren't any distraction, constant social drama, and you can teach your child at the pace that they need to go (whether it is fast or a tad slow!). Now, home schooling isn't for everyone. You have to be a devoted parent...a parent that doesn't mind spending a lot of time with their children. It won't always be easy, and there will be stressful and probably ready-to-give up moments! But stick it through, because it will be the best decisions that you could have ever made for your child...you'll see!-Brandy
