we should because they can let us call or txt are parents what we got on a test or quiz. we could ask are friends if we have any homework for any class. we could also call the office instead of going all the way across the school

dont care

Perhaps we don't understand because those in favor can't seem to type one sentence. ONE mind you, that is grammatically correct.

AMEN!!! I think they should!!!! i mean if they get a text then they want to txt it back or want to see what it says and then their distracted by wantin to do those so if we were aloud we would pay more attention instead of bein distracted.

I am not trying to be mean or disrespectful, but this post has been going for probably years, and I have never, ever seen one post in favor without huge typos.

It is sad really.

And what happens if your child accidentally breaks someone else expensive smart phone during play time, as recently happened to my son. Phones should be banned from being taken at at any time during school hours. Should the parents be potentially liable for all the children's phones?

If the highschool kids would not act like kids and keep their phones away that is one thing. However they text; in pockets, in baggy sweat pants, in the restroom.. you get the picture. School staff can give the phone back to students at end of day. I have a phone at my desk.
