I agree with these because students can face any emergency at any time and mobile will help them to connect with their parents.

i disagree, simply for the fact that students say they use it for all the right reasons but truly they do not use in for the correct reasons!

If you ask me if a child should have a cell phone, I will answer yes without any hesitation. I think children today need a cell phone simply for safety sake. There are phone plans and parental restrictions to suit all needs. In today’s world, a cell phone is a necessity for any child old enough to be able to use it in an emergency.

Yea, if you didn't you could get beat up and probably to the hospital and if you have your phone you can video it and have proof then sew him/her.that way you can pay medical bills and have extra money for holidays or for any thing.

We should have our cellphones because if someone were to die in our family, and one of our parents was trying to get a hold of us,and our cellphones were in our lockers then we wouldnt know what acually happend..

I agree with both having and not having a cell phone during school hours.students need to have cell phones in an emergency. If a loved on passes a civil , responsible adult would call the schools office asking you to leave the building. It is also important to know what is going to happen during an earthquake and your at your school. This way you can stay in contact if a parent is at work and you are at school. students need to pay attention during class though. I noticed that grammer skills get worse as more students get cellular devices. If you are wondering i am a 6th grade students who loves technology, and no i am not a techno nerd. ;)

As the author stated in the article that the student who made the threats had a weapon in his locker, if the student didn't have his cell phone he could have been hurt or even killed. Therefore I believe that having a cell phone in school is a good thing.

HI im 11 years old and i agree with kristen Houghton because having cell phones in school is saying that your parents what you to be safe. And yes teachers will tell you to put the phone away because they see that some children use there sell phones for recording fights and talking to people when they do not have too.Now these children can tell there parents that they are not responsiple with a device thats suppose to protect them.I have a sell phone and i use it for things that i have to tell and you know what i keep it right in my bag.I like your article Kristen you are truly right.
