students should because if there was danger in the building then we would be able to call for safety

I think it is right to have cellphones in school so we need to call someone like our cousins and other families in the city.

From a students perspective, I believe that we shouldn't have cell phones because any extra noise in a classroom is a distraction. Some of my classmates still have their phones in class whether or not the school allows it. This may seem a little nerdy for a student, but I know that it's hard to pay attention during class when people are sharpening their pencils or smacking their gum. These are just some of the reasons phones shouldn't be in classrooms. Other children in the classroom my have lower grades due to the fact so much noise is being made. Emergencies are no excuse for cellphones either because parents are informed with or without the cellphones. No teacher is to blame whenever a child's grades drop when the child is in possession of a cellphone. People are known for abusing technology by constantly texting/talking to a friend or by playing games while they should be doing something else. This is why students shouldn't be aloud to have cellphones.

i completely agree with you. i go to a school called silver creek in sellersburg indiana and our policy is we arent to have phones out until 3 p.m school ends at 245 so i dont understand why we cant have them during non instructional time periods. it blows my mind how tight the system is about phones. but im working to get it chamged

I think that students should use phones on school because no one in the school does anything. But if you text a parent or a member of the family then they can get you and you will go home because you don't feel good. And no one has the right for that to be taken away.

I think schools should stick with the no cell phones out rule. How distracting is it as a teacher or student when someone is texting away? Yes, there are very helpful apps used to educate others, but 9 out of 10 kids will just ignore that rule and go onto a social network instead. After class is a different story.

Cell phones should be allowed in class. If people are texting away, that is their problem, they are the one who will fail school.

I personally think cell phones should be allowed in school. I mean look what happened in Sandy Hook Elementry students had cell phones in school to contact their parents and tell them what had happened and they're okay.
