Sure, it’s shallow and insignificant as compared with the magical miracle bomb that’s exploding inside of you, but I still say maternity style is kind of a big deal. For one thing, if you’re not careful you could end up spending a fortune on clothes you’ll only wear for thirty seconds. And on the days when you’re feeling particularly barfy/gassy/incontinent, you’re at least going to want to feel good about how you look. Part 1

Now that you’ve edited your closet (see here for tips), you hopefully have a better idea of what you’ve got to work with—and what you might still need. It can be tempting to hit up Pea in the Pod at eight weeks, buying a bunch of ugly/expensive maternity wear and designer jeans that won’t fit over your ankles at week twenty (not speaking from experience or anything). But since you’re smarter than that (and me), you’ll hopefully exercise restraint and instead focus on acquiring a good wardrobe foundation that can be built on later. Part 2- The Necessities

This is really helpful for first timers like me. It's a sudden shift between this and that and sometimes I hate the fact that I can't wear most of my clothes.

Welcome aboard, rassel625. :) I honestly didn't buy a lot of maternity wear when I was pregnant. It's expensive too compared to just buying bigger sizes which you can get away with with things like tshirts. I think I had three or four nice dresses and only because I needed one for a wedding I was going to, and the others I wore for dr's appointments. Mostly I lived in tshirts and leggings.

I think we shouldn't invest much money in maternity clothes. So, I have an idea. My sister and I decide to invest together and we share. It means that I wear first and then after 9 months, my sister will use

I gave my friend that was due two months after I was my stuff as I outgrew it. There's wasn't much point in it lying in a drawer.
