Exposing eggs to high levels of saturated fatty acids of the type commonly found in the ovaries of obese women and those with diabetes can harm the development of the embryo, according to research published on Wednesday. The findings lend further support to health guidelines which recommend that women should strive to be a healthy weight before they start trying to become pregnant.

I think this is also the reason why obese people don't usually get pregnant easily. To protect the possible life at womb.

Possibly. When you're heavy it's not good to expect your body to cope with the added strain of a pregnancy. As a dr told an obese girl I worked with years ago that had been trying for a baby for a year, if they had to give her an emergency C-section it would take much longer to get to the baby and for her to heal after it too. She told her to lose at least 50 lbs and then they'd talk about fertility treatment but not before.
