Is anyone planning on finally fulfilling their New Years resolution to eat healthier and lose weight? I have decided that it is soooo time for me to get in the gym and become more active. I have tried the Wii Fit (well, not the actual trainer games that they sell seperately), but I think that I need something more. I've begun eating healthier by adding more fruits, vegetables and seafood to my diet. One thing that actually works is having a salad before dinner. Here are my little cutbacks that I think are helping me stay on track: - cooking spray instead of oil
- Tons of water. I carry a insulated cup that keeps it ice cold for hours. So throughout the day I just add more water, since the ice hasn't melted.
- Keeping easy access fruits readily available such as bananas, grapes and berries. I call these easy access bc I can basically pick up (maybe rinse) and go. If I have to cut the fruit, forget it.
- Switching to low sodium salt (water gain)
- Cutting out some refined foods and opting for 100% whole grain and vegetables.
What are your takes on this? Do you have any pointers?
