Great movie! Set slightly in the future, his job is a "cutter". Wealthy people have a chip implanted that records everything in their life, good and bad. His job is to make this legacy into acceptable viewing at their funeral and he's the best in the business.

Like a videotape editor, he watches it, seeing everything through their eyes and then splices it all, compiling the footage into a more pleasant view of the person's life - removing all the bad things they did or that happened to them to create a memorial that's acceptable, "rose colored glasses" type viewing. I won't tell you more but trust me, it's good and really makes you think.

Nobody watched this yet? It's fabulous, honestly! You'll not be disappointed at all, I promise. :D And it's not a sci fi type futuristic movie. I don't like them myself. More like something you can imagine being a few decades away.

Oh, I found the movie section.  Did I stumble into your own private room?  The movie sounds pretty interesting.  A total new idea for movie.  And I like Robin Williams.

Hi Arlene! LOL, nope, everyone's welcome in here. :) I just know these girls will enjoy it.

I like him a lot too. What Dreams May Come is my absolute favorite of his. What's yours?

Arlene, I saw August Rush last night with Robin Williams in it. It's great! Have you seen that one? It's about a small boy who can hear music in everything and is searching New York for his real parents.

Which one Christine - August Rush, What Dreams May Come or The Final Cut? Methinks I went a tad off topic in the thread LOL. :)

Lol, August Rush was what I was talking about.  I loved it!  I haven't seen anything worthwhile since I watched that 3 months ago though, so sad.

Ahhh I did too, Christine. I hadn't heard of it actually and one of hubby's workmates brought it in for him to take home and let me see it. She knew I'd enjoy it. :)
