So here I am, day 3 without power, heat, hot water, phone, cable, internet, nothing. We got hit with a Nor'easter on Saturday! An epic, unprecedented storm with huge snow totals! We don't expect to be back on the grid until the end of the week. Ugh!

Oh, that's rotten! You have my sympathy. Our ice storm was a freak one too when it hit out the blue, a once in a hundred years event they said. How did you manage to post here then?

From my iphone and from work, lol. We were out for 3.5 days, Dad was out for 5 and my sister just came back. LOTS of folks are still without and they say possibly Wednesday!

It was awful, our house got down to the 40's and it was impossible to sleep. I am sooo grateful for electricity!!

We went out for a walk on Saturday and it was 70 degrees!!!! Mind you, typically it is in the teens and we are buried in snow. The only snow storm we had happened 2 months early and we haven't seen a flake since. It is VERY weird!

You're lucky, we've yet to see a nice day like that. We had one teeny snow that can barely be called that. It didn't even last till morning. Not unusual for us to get on right into Feb though.

We get it that late too. I remember last year, when Mom passed away, our snowbanks were HUGE!

It's warm again today, not 70 but probably 45. They had predicted a storm for tonight but now they're saying rain not snow. Kind of creepy really. It's January 11.
